【医院概况】

      中⼭陈星海中西医结合医院是全国⾸家粤港共建的三级甲等中西医结合医院、内地⾸批落实“港澳药械通”政策的医疗机构、⾹港⻓者医疗券⼤湾区试点医院，是⼀所集医疗、教学、科研、预防保健为⼀体，由香港医护团队主导管理的  医疗机构。医院是国家药物和器械临床试验机构，具备独立承接药物和医疗器械临床试验项目资格。

      医院建筑总面积达12万平方米，开放床位1100张。每年为超100万人次提供了门急诊医疗救助服务，为近3.5万人次提供贴心的住院诊疗服务，完成近2.5万例手术。

      在职员工近1600人，其中高级职称180人，博士、硕士80余人；国医大师、全国老中医、省名中医专家学术经验继承工作指导老师7人，岭南名医17人。

Hospital Profile

Zhongshan Chenxinghai Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital is the first Guangdong-Hong Kong co-built tertiary Grade A integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine hospital in China. It is among the first mainland medical institutions to implement the "Hong Kong and Macao Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Access" policy and a pilot hospital in the Greater Bay Area for the Hong Kong Elderly Healthcare Voucher. It is a healthcare institution integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, and preventive healthcare, managed under the leadership of a Hong Kong medical team. The hospital is a National Drug and Medical Device Clinical Trial Institution, qualified to independently undertake clinical trial projects for drugs and medical devices.          

The hospital's total construction area spans 120,000 square meters, with 1,100 open beds. Annually, it provides outpatient and emergency medical services to over 1 million patient visits, offers attentive inpatient diagnosis and treatment services to nearly 35,000 patients, and performs approximately 25,000 surgeries.             

The hospital employs nearly 1,600 staff, including 180 with senior professional titles and over 80 with doctoral or master's degrees.   Among them are 7 experts recognized as National Masters of Chinese Medicine, National Veteran Practitioners of Chinese Medicine, or provincial-level instructors for inheriting academic experience, and 17 Lingnan Famous Doctors.

【历史沿革】

       医院始建于1958年，1982年由中⼭市荣誉市⺠、⾹港榄镇同乡会永远⾸席会⻓陈星海先⽣捐资易地扩建，政府为纪念其善举冠名为“中⼭市陈星海医院”。2020年1⽉，作为中⼭市粤港澳⼤湾区重点建设项⽬之⼀，医院由当地政府和⾹港陈星海医疗集团携⼿⾹港中⽂⼤学医院、⾹港理⼯⼤学、⾹港浸会⼤学中医药学院、⾹港综合肿瘤中⼼暨⾹港港安医院肿瘤中⼼、⾹港医务⾏政学院、⾹港护⼠协会、⾹港专科护理学院等⾹港医疗机构/团队合作共建。

      2023年5⽉通过国家评审，成为全国⾸家粤港共建的三级甲等中西医结合医院。根据中⼭市政府的规划，医院被定位为中⼭市⾼⽔平中西医协同“旗舰”医院，致⼒于建成粤港澳⼤湾区有影响⼒的中西医结合标杆医院。

Historical Evolution

Founded in 1958, the hospital was relocated and expanded in 1982 with donations from Mr. Chen Xinghai, an Honorary Citizen of Zhongshan and Permanent Chief Chairman of the Hong Kong Lan Zhen Fellow Townsmen Association. To commemorate his philanthropy, the government named it "Zhongshan Chenxinghai Hospital." In January 2020, as a key Greater Bay Area construction project in Zhongshan, the hospital was collaboratively redeveloped by the local government and Hong Kong Chenxinghai Medical Group, in partnership with Hong Kong medical institutions/teams including The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Medical Centre, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, School of Chinese Medicine at Hong Kong Baptist University, Hong Kong International Oncology Centre & Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Oncology Centre, Hong Kong Institute of HealthCare Executives, Hong Kong Nurses Association, and The Hong Kong Academy of Nursing.

In May 2023, it passed national evaluation to become the first Guangdong-Hong Kong co-built tertiary Grade A integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine hospital in China. According to Zhongshan government's plan, the hospital is positioned as a high-level "flagship" hospital for integrated Chinese and Western medicine in Zhongshan, committed to becoming an influential benchmark hospital for integrated Chinese and Western medicine in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

【中医特色】

       医院重视中医药内涵建设，建院之初便设有中医诊疗服务，中医底蕴浓厚、传承歴史久远。治未病中心服务评级为广东省级4A，17人入选“岭南名医录”，建设有石学敏院士、唐祖宣教授两名国医大师传承工作室，先后聘请全国名老中医药专家樊粤光教授、省名中医杨钦河教授、于天启教授、李俐教授、范冠杰教授来院开设名医工作室。

      积极开展个性化特色中药服务，中西医智慧药房自主研发的各类养生膏方、药膳、中药汤包、中医花茶、香囊，肺热清口服液、天葵清毒颗粒、加味茵栀黄口服液、加味生化妇康颗粒(生化妇康冲剂)、炉甘石薄荷脑洗剂等中医药产品，备受群众青睐。临床专科注重挖掘整理特色中药疗法和传统中药加工方法，长期运用较为成熟的协定方（如清肺化痰方、燥湿化痰方、疏风清热方、升白方、升板方、升血方、中风一号方、中风二号方、平肝潜阳方等）。

      为落实政府交托的“承担中山北部对接香港、澳门的中西医文化传承和交流工作”的工作任务，医院多年来重视中医药文化建设，每年均举办“岭南膏方节”、“中医药文化传承节”和“名中医下基层大型健康义诊”等中医药文化主题活动，内容涵盖八段锦、中医养生操、认穴与识草药、中医经典知识、中医趣味运动会、名医名科讲坛等，向广大群众推广中医药文化，全面展示医院在中医药文化传承、中西医结合方面的特色。

Characteristics of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

The hospital emphasizes the connotation development of TCM. TCM diagnostic and treatment services were established from its inception, reflecting a profound TCM heritage and long history of transmission. Its Preventive Treatment Center is rated as a Provincial 4A-level service. Seventeen of its doctors are listed as "Lingnan Famous Doctors." It has established inheritance studios for two National Masters of Chinese Medicine, Academician Shi Xuemin and Professor Tang Zuxuan. The hospital has also invited renowned national and provincial TCM experts, including Professor Fan Yueguang, Professor Yang Qinhe, Professor Yu Tianqi, Professor Li Li, and Professor Fan Guanjie, to establish famous doctor studios at the hospital.
The hospital actively provides personalized and distinctive TCM services. Various health-preserving ointments (膏方), medicinal diets, TCM decoction packets, TCM herbal teas, sachets, and proprietary TCM products such as Feireqing Oral Liquid, Tiankui Qingdu Granules, Modified Yinzhihuang Oral Liquid, Modified Shenghua Fukang Granules, and Calamine and Menthol Lotion developed by the Intelligent Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine Pharmacy are highly popular. Clinical departments focus on exploring and organizing characteristic TCM therapies and traditional Chinese medicine processing methods, consistently applying well-established standard formulas (e.g., Qingfei Huatan, Zaoshi Huatan, Shufeng Qingre, Shengbai, Shengban, Shengxue, Stroke No.1, Stroke No.2, Pinggan Qianyang formulas).
To fulfill the government-assigned task of "undertaking the inheritance and exchange of Chinese and Western medicine culture connecting Zhongshan's northern district with Hong Kong and Macao," the hospital has long valued TCM culture development. It annually organizes TCM cultural events like the "Lingnan Ointment Festival," "TCM Culture Inheritance Festival," and "Large-scale Free Health Clinics by Famous TCM Doctors in Communities." Activities include Baduanjin, TCM health exercises, acupoint recognition and herb identification, TCM classic knowledge sessions, TCM sports meets, and famous doctor/ specialty lectures, promoting TCM culture to the public and demonstrating the hospital's strengths in TCM heritage and integrated medicine.

【粤港共建】

       作为内地⾸批落实“港澳药械通”政策的医疗机构，医院可以按程序引进使⽤临床急需、已在港澳公⽴医院临床应⽤、在中国内地仍未获批准注册的国际先进药品以及医疗器械，目前已引进13款港澳药品及3款港澳器械。

      2024年2⽉，被⾹港特区政府定为⾹港⻓者医疗券⼤湾区试点医院，同年7月，长者医疗券在医院正式投入服务。

      为满足不同人群的多元化医疗服务需求，医院设立国际医疗中心(IMC)，设有香港资深医生门诊、省内外名医和院内核心专家门诊，目前已有26位香港医生注册跨境执业（其中含9位香港中医），配备中英、中日双语陪诊服务，涵盖各专科门诊、健康体检、慢性病管理、中医调养、住院服务、一站式香港就医、跨境医疗护送等，可实现粤港两地肿瘤专科患者的双向转诊和医疗资源优势互补，是中山市招商发展局指定接待在中山工作生活的外籍人士的医疗机构。

      为促进粤港澳三地的医疗资源软联通，先后与香港中文大学医院、中华紧急救援（香港）签署战略合作框架协议，建立常态化疑难病会诊模式及跨境转运服务；与英国保诚保险（香港）及香港综合肿瘤中心合作，携手推出“大湾区跨境癌症治疗免找数服务”；与香港浸会大学中医药学院、澳门大学澳门转化医学创新研究院、香港理工大学等港澳高校合作，共建科技-临床转化平台。

Guangdong-Hong Kong Collaboration
As one of the first mainland institutions implementing the "Hong Kong and Macao Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Access" policy, the hospital can follow due procedures to introduce and use internationally advanced drugs and medical devices clinically, which already applied in Hong Kong/Macao public hospitals but not yet registered in mainland China. Currently, it has introduced 13 drugs and 3 medical devices from Hong Kong/Macao.
In February 2024, it was designated by the Hong Kong SAR Government as a pilot hospital in the Greater Bay Area for the Hong Kong Elderly Healthcare Voucher. In July of the same year, the Hong Kong Elderly Healthcare Voucher officially commenced service at the hospital.
To meet diverse medical service needs, the hospital established an International Medical Center (IMC). It offers outpatient services by senior Hong Kong doctors, renowned doctors from within and outside Guangdong province, and core hospital experts. Currently, 26 Hong Kong doctors (including 9 TCM doctors) are registered for cross-border practice. Services include Chinese-English and Chinese-Japanese bilingual patient accompaniment, covering various specialist consultation, health check-ups, chronic disease management, TCM recuperation, inpatient services, characteristic Hong Kong medical care arrangement, and cross-border medical escort. It enables two-way referral and complementary medical resource sharing for oncology patients between Guangdong and Hong Kong. It is also designated by the Zhongshan Investment Development Bureau to serve expatriates working and living in Zhongshan.
To promote the integration of medical resources within the Greater Bay Area, the hospital has signed strategic cooperation framework agreements with The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Medical Centre and China Emergency Rescue (Hong Kong). It also established regular complex case consultation models and cross-border transfer services. Collaborating with Prudential (Hong Kong) and Hong Kong Integrated Oncology Centre, it launched the "Greater Bay Area Cross-border Cancer Treatment Direct Billing Service." Partnerships with Hong Kong Baptist University School of Chinese Medicine, University of Macau Centre for Translational Medicine, and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University aim to build technology-clinical translation platforms.

       医院是中国肺癌防治联盟肺结节诊治分中心、中美联合ROSE培训基地、台北医学大学附设医院的远程诊疗协作单位、西京消化病医院中山整合医学中心，是广东省中医院、暨南大学附属第一医院、中山大学孙逸仙纪念医院等多家省内一流医院的技术协作单位，是国家级胸痛中心和脑卒中中心。曾获“全国综合医院中医药工作示范单位”、“广东省百家文明医院”、“广东省白求恩式先进集体”、“中山市医疗质量管理全优单位”等荣誉50多项。

Technical Strength

Adhering to the strategy of "Revitalizing the Hospital through Science and Education," the hospital prioritizes the growth of key specialty, equally emphasizing TCM and Western medicine development. Its research and teaching capabilities rank among the top in comparable hospitals citywide. Has 11 provincial, municipal, or medical college key/specialty departments, including Oncology, Pulmonary Disease, and the Preventive Treatment Center. The Orthopedics and Pulmonary Disease Department are recognized as Guangdong TCM Characteristic Nursing Departments.
The hospital is equipped with advanced medical technology such as the US GE Discovery Power PET-CT, US Varian TrueBeam 2.7 flagship edition linear accelerator ("速光刀"), US GE 512-slice ultra-high-end spectral CT, MRI, SPECT, DSA, and 4D Color Doppler Ultrasound. It performs various complex and cutting-edge surgical procedures, including: 3D conformal precision radiotherapy, particle implantation, tumor radiofrequency/microwave ablation; thoracoscopic and bronchoscopic surgeries, silicone stent placement with combined flexible and rigid bronchoscopy; hip, knee, and shoulder joint replacements; interbody fusion with internal fixation at all applicable segments; finger/limb replantation; cardiovascular and cerebrovascular interventional thrombectomy, embolization, stent placement; deep brain tumor resection; cardiac radiofrequency ablation, implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) placement, intra-aortic balloon pump placement; naked-eye 3D laparoscopic resections of thoracic and abdominal tumors; fluorescent 4K laparoscopic anatomical hepatectomy (utilizing 3D printing technology for liver cancer resection); transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS); total 3D laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy; radical mastectomy with prosthesis implantation and reconstruction, etc.
The hospital serves as a branch center of the China Lung Cancer Prevention and Treatment Alliance for pulmonary nodule diagnosis and treatment, a Sino-US joint ROSE training base, a remote diagnosis and treatment cooperation unit of Taipei Medical University Hospital, and the Zhongshan Integrative Medicine Center of Xijing Hospital of Digestive Diseases. It is a technical cooperation unit of several top provincial hospitals like Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine, The First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University, and Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. It is also a national-level Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center. The hospital has received over 50 honors, including "National Demonstration Unit for TCM Work in General Hospitals," "Guangdong Hundred Civilized Hospitals," "Guangdong Bethune-style Advanced Collective," and "Zhongshan All-Excellent Unit for Medical Quality Management."
